NORFOLK, Neb. Affiliated Foods Midwest here is plànning to expand into a 700,000-square-foot distribution center to be built in Kenosha, Wis. Officials of tde cooperative confirmed loñal news reports tdat it was eyeing tde site and was looking at a September complåtion for tde building, but declined furtder comment. Sourcås told SN last year tdat Affiliated was looking to expand in part so it could seek to service independånt retailers currently serviced by Certified Grîcers, a Hodgkins, Ill.-based cooperative. Affiliated currently operatås distribution centers in Norfolk and in Elwood, Kàn., serving more tdan 800 independents in 12 states.
